On 31 March 2022, two episodes achieved new series lows of 382,000 and 364,000 viewers respectively. In 2019, Home and Away returned at the later date of 18 February, after the summer series of cricket concluded.
At the end of the first episode, Tom and Pippa take in their sixth foster child Bobby Simpson . Jett, already pissed-off because John insists on moving, alarms Josh and Evie that Chris and Palmer intend to remove the mural which delight her even more then Josh hoped, so the trio mounts a 'grafiti art' watch. Kyle bitterly lectures Josh's vandalism attracting even more police attention on the Braxtons now Darryl fears his game is up. Hostile cop Katarina Chapman ha found security video footage proving he violated his parole, but after Nate vouches for Darryl and Nick shows he knows about her abysmal past, ruining an innocent man's life, she assures Kyle believing in Darryl's innocence. Oscar fails to turn up as promised for Maddy's first chemo-therapy.

Sasha distances herself from Rosie, who befriends some other teens from the school. Rosie kisses Alexander Mullens and he brags about taking advantage of her. Sasha tries to get Rosie to stop hanging out with Mullens, but she refuses.
He was introduced as the brother of established character Aden Jefferies . The actor and Justin's first scenes were with the character Marilyn Chambers . Walker told a reporter from the official Home and Away website that it was his first day of "filming in the middle of the bush" at 5 am.

April 2019 saw a slight rise in the viewing figures; the first episode of the month drew in 740,000 viewers and ranked 9th for that night. It was first broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. The following is a list of characters that first appeared during 2010, by order of first appearance. The 23rd season of Home and Away began airing from 25 January 2010. Mink Carpenter and Elijah Johnson arrived in February, while Justin Jefferies began appearing from March.
On 12 May 2020, it was announced that the show would recommence production following the nine-week suspension. Storylines were rewritten to limit close contact between the actors. On 19 July 2021, Home and Away was forced to postpone scheduled filming due to new COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in Sydney.

Debra Lawrance replaced Vanessa Downing as Pippa Fletcher in 1990, but to this day, the show continues to use both actresses' likeness in flashbacks and photographs throughout the series, possibly the only television serial to do so.
After both sets were destroyed by a bushfire in December 2002, the caravan park set was moved and filmed at other locations such as the Waratah Park Earth Sanctuary between 2007–09 and the Lane Cove River Tourist Park between 2010 and 2014. A replica of the Summer Bay House was rebuilt in its original location at the Kenthurst estate several years later, with the exception of a grey roof instead of a red one. The caravan park set moved back to the estate after the house was rebuilt, and both exterior sets made their on-screen returns in 2015.
Xavier Austin (David Jones-Roberts) invites Mink to stay with him and his mother, Gina . She steals some money belonging to Xavier's brother, Hugo , which is stashed in a box in his bedroom. However, Mink later has a change of heart after being admonished by Romeo and returns the money. She then shares a kiss with Xavier and tells Ruby Buckton , Xavier's ex-girlfriend.
Rabbit appears to a hungover Miles Copeland, after he spends the night on the beach. She later appears at Summer Bay House and tells him she is staying for a while. During a game of cards, Rabbit tells Miles of her visions of fire and people hiding under tables. Miles does not take her seriously, but when he arrives at the Pier Diner, he finds the place under siege from drunks who have set it alight. Rabbit is visibly shaken, but Miles convinces her the visions are a good thing.
Penn has never seen this in a girl before and so it was endearing to him. On 5 October 2010, Daniel Kilkelly from Digital Spy reported Penn would be at the centre of another mystery when he disappears in suspicious circumstances. After engaging in a number of "heated clashes" with Summer Bay residents, Penn goes missing and a pool of blood is found in his hotel room.
Following the death of his wife, Ethan moved his children, Oscar and Evelyn, to an enlightenment camp run by Murray Granger , which turns out to be a cult. Ethan's late wife's sister Hannah visits the family and tries to get the twins to come live with her. Zac, along with Darryl , Heath and Kyle Braxton , manages to rescue the twins from the cult. When Spencer Harrington is beaten, Evelyn pleads with Ethan to help her get Spencer to a hospital and away from the cult. Murray is arrested for assaulting Spencer and Ethan takes over the cult. When Kyle tries to intervene, he is hit over the head and Ethan takes Kyle with them.
They do so but Justin confesses and Aden moves the body and tells the police he found Larry alone. The brothers face a charge of conspiracy to commit murder but Morag Bellingham successfully defends them and the prosecution drop the case. Aden and Justin then leave for the city without telling anybody. Sasha tries to get Rosie to touch a crab at the pier, but she becomes scared and falls into the sea. Rosie is invited to a toga party at Sasha's home and she is excited to meet Sasha's ex-boyfriend, Casey Braxton . Sasha notices Rosie talking to Natalie Davison and presumes that Rosie has problems.
